TBD brought home a flower surprise yesterday. He chose such a beautiful bouquet. Sunflowers, which remind us of Blaise, big mums for Gus, Roses for you-know-who, and pretty pink lilies. Xoxo
And to top it off, he brought Rosie a flower of her own. She keeps asking to hold it.
As you can see, Blaise does not always have saintly behavior! Blaise's name, however, comes from a saint whose feast day we observe every February. St. Blaise is known for blessing throats, as he once saved a young boy choking on a fish bone. He also is the patron saint of wild animals. Perhaps he can intercede on behalf of our cat? We expect that our Blaise will have lots of spunk, just like the saint he's named after!
