Doubting Thomas

We've been hearing a lot about Doubting Thomas at Mass lately. This weekend it was Mom and Pops that had a bout of doubt! We weren't sure that tiny "Thomas" would be well behaved for his sitter, Aunt Nina while we snuck out on a date Saturday night. "Saint Blaise" got a good report- Amen, Sister!

Meet Elisa!

Cousin Elisa returned from London this week and we were so pleased to meet the little lady. We had a pizza party for the McCuskers on Monday- here is Elisa with her chocolate bunny, the "Lil Traveler," Elisa and her cousin Jack, and Blaise chowing down on Puffs. (The babies were up well past their bedtimes, so we appeased Blaise with munchies.)
Welcome back to Chicago, McCuskers!

Danny Day

Uncle Danny W's birthday is coming up, so we celebrated him while we were home. The party festivities? An Easter egg hunt, Danny trivia, and several rounds of "Left, Right, Center." Here are a few shots of the whole family looking for eggs. Even though I wouldn't allow G-Pops to have a head start, he still managed to find the money egg by the boathouse. Tommy won Danny Trivia- and a chocolate bunny.
Happy birthday, Uncle Danny!

Ak-rowdy

Something exciting happened before Easter. Blaise and I traveled to Akron to meet Sonny!!! Finally! Sonny is cute, sweet, and Italian- the total package. (Right, Tommy?) He and Blaise had fun chasing each other- and Brady Quinn, Cath's feisty chihuahua. The highlight of the trip had to be taking the babies to Swenson's- a drive-in that we used to frequent on trips home during college. I miss you already, Cath!

Bun Fun

We paid a quick visit to the Easter Bunny yesterday. No tears, but Blaise seemed very curious. Blaise asked Mr. Bunny for Easter eggs filled with Cheerios and Gerber Puffs!

A note to other moms:
This happens to be the Costco Easter Bunny. The bunny set-up was just inside the door, there was no line, and it wasn't a huge ordeal to find a parking spot. So I'd highly recommend Costco for the bunny pictures, if you don't mind the bunny's sneakers peeking out from underneath his fur. :)
