Holy Half

Steph and I braved the elements to run the Holy Half, Notre Dame's half marathon, on Sunday. Blaise patiently hung out with Mimi and G-Pops while the race was underway. It was a true win-win; Blaise got QT with the grandparents while Steph and I could chit chat while zigzagging through ND.

Baby's Day Out

With Uncle Danny W. visiting, we wanted to get out and explore. We headed to the Shedd for the day- along with half the city I think! (Forgot that it was the week of Spring Break, oops!) Here are a few pictures from our adventure.

Cannon Ball!

We take an "Aqua Babies" swim class every Wednesday. Blaise thinks the warm pool is Heaven. As you can see from the pictures, he's still a meatball!

Blaise's Book Club

Blaise is a picky reader. He turns up his nose at any book without flaps. His favorites seem to be Karen Katz's bright little numbers. This leads me to believe that even though he might resemble Tommy, he has Mama's heart for color!

A little bit Irish

I'm Croatian and I love it. However, I've always wanted to be a little bit Irish. I couldn't help but notice though, that a small yet portly little leprechaun was following me around today...

P.S. We bought the shades yesterday and the timing couldn't have been more appropriate. 73 degrees and sunny in Chicago! A little pot of gold!

9 month notes

Noteworthy items:

1) Mama is still his sweetheart.
2) He is enjoying Cheerios!
3) He received a handsome hat in the mail. Thank you!
4) He shares his toys. At least with pretty ladies.

Choo choo

We hopped on the train for a quick weekend in Michigan. Highlights: baths in the sink, crawling after Mollie, new yellow boots, hugs from Uncle Danny.

Weekend Update

Well, a monsoon of sorts hit Chicago on Saturday leaving us with all kinds of rain. Not wanting to venture far from the nest, we stuck around home and pulled out the blocks. (See above. This is what happens when Mama runs out of ideas.) Blaise also allowed me to snap a picture of him praying. (Noah, help! Ping, head for the ark!) We finally snuck out Sunday for brunch. I had to laugh as I watched Tommy hobble down the sidewalk juggling the baby, umbrella, and diaper bag all at once. Now that's what I call a hot husband. :)

Big Boy!

All of the sudden, Blaise is looking more like a boy than a baby. And a little like an Italian Stallion, too! (See the shirt? Thanks, Elisa.)

Has Spring Sprung?

It sure feels like spring in Chicago. After a run along the lake, Blaise and I trotted over to the park to swing and socialize. Hope you are enjoying sunny skies, too!
