Brewer Fever

The season has come to a close. The Brewers played their heart out. We were proud of your improvement, Blaise.

Gus rides the bus

Gus has been asking to ride a double-decker bus for over a year. Today was the big day.
Had to wait for it, but sat front row for a bit.
Gus kept saying "This is fun, Mama."

Hard at work

The boys are beading. Rosie is being crazy and trying to steal the beads. She has personality plus.

Beach babies

Spent the morning at the beach. The water was cold but didn't stop G and R. Here's Gus looking for "seashells." He kept calling rocks seashells because that's what Max and Ruby collected at the beach.
Construction in the background was
Exciting to watch! Excavators! Impact hammers! Cranes!
And the skyline with my girl. She ran straight into the water, wiped out, i pulled her out and she demanded to go right back in. Rosie, you're a tough little lady.

Because I don't want to forget

A few weeks ago, Blaise brought home a timeline he made at school
Me: what's the timeline of
B: the different periods
M: which was the first one?
B: the Cambrian
M: is that the one with little shell looking things?
B: yes, the trilobite....NAILED IT!

So now whenever Blaise has the answer to something he says, "Trilobites...nailed it!"

And Just Look who we found today.

Yes! There really is a Kalamazoo.

Baby Cece is cute as a button
On the way to MI Blaise said "I just wish I could explore a forest." Poor city kid. So, we took a hike in Kellogg Forest. Here's our family picture with Tommy as the bear. Christmas card!!
The BFFs Mimi and Mary Claire
We all made the 2.5 mile trek.
Gus and his little walking stick.
Hi Baby
G-Pops gave Blaise a circuit set for his birthday. Blaise played with it for hours. That scientific mind is with 100% certainty a recessive gene. :)
Kind of matchy matchy. We are always happy to visit MI.

A week of change

School is out. AHHHH!
I texted tommy this picture to try and scare him. :)
Rosie looks like Baby Blaise here.
Class picnic
As Blaise dressed for it he said "Mom! My teachers said we could wear shirts without sleeves. But the straps have to be this big. No spaghetti straps, whatever that is."
He wore his Bulls jersey to celebrate his right to bare arms. :)
Blaiser turned 7. 7!!!!!!! We went for ice cream.
You silly, sassy strawberry. You look so sweet here little lady but we know you've got a raging 'tude. Xo

Out for a run

We went for a morning run after dropping Blaise off at school. It was a beautiful picture perfect day.
I asked Gus, beach or zoo?
Zoo!

Happy Donut Day- we observed the national holiday
The kids are excited whenever we drive by this restaurant bc of the jerseys in the window
A house nearby has chickens in the front yard that you may feed. Here's Gus and the Nelson Street Girls.
