Mimi stayed with our family for over a week to get us started. She bonded with Blaise, whipped up delicious dinners, and even showed us how to give the little guy a bath. I think we'll have to start calling her "Saint Mimi!"
As you can see, Blaise does not always have saintly behavior! Blaise's name, however, comes from a saint whose feast day we observe every February. St. Blaise is known for blessing throats, as he once saved a young boy choking on a fish bone. He also is the patron saint of wild animals. Perhaps he can intercede on behalf of our cat? We expect that our Blaise will have lots of spunk, just like the saint he's named after!
