We had a great time celebrating Papa Clark's 60th back in June. Uncle Danny and Aunt Maggi gave Blaise his favorite birthday gift, Manti Te'o's new jersey.
Going back in time. My computer had a virus and so I couldn't upload pictures all summer. Here are a few from July when we did a cousin sleepover for the "big kids."
Gus's friend Eileen comes to work with him every Monday. He is walking now and she deserves all the credit. He smiles and pounds the window when he sees her pull up outside.
Blaise asked if he could baptize Gus = douse him with water. Plan B: play baptism instead. Here Blaise was an altar boy, Gus was the crazy godfather who kept trying to touch the candle and our baptismal candidate is seated next to Gus.
As you can see, Blaise does not always have saintly behavior! Blaise's name, however, comes from a saint whose feast day we observe every February. St. Blaise is known for blessing throats, as he once saved a young boy choking on a fish bone. He also is the patron saint of wild animals. Perhaps he can intercede on behalf of our cat? We expect that our Blaise will have lots of spunk, just like the saint he's named after!
